Explore Activity Centre welcomes all Scouting and Guide groups to use our facilities. With acres of space located conveniently close to the M3, this beautiful lake is ideal for canoeing, kayaking and raft building. We also have a large area of woodland and grassland that is perfect for a bit of bushcraft including camp fire cooking, shelter building and crafting. We also have orienteering courses, a low ropes course and many team games. Please see below for some ideas of the packages we offer. We can tailor any visit for your group.
£15 summer deal
Spend an evening on the water kayaking at Explore for just £15 per child. We aim to get your whole group on the water at the same time using our tandem sit on top kayaks, great for team work as well as making a splash! If your group is likely to be larger than 24 please let us know.
£15 winter deal
Join us for a torch-lit tour of the lake in one of our rafted canoes (a very stable craft manned by a qualified instructor). The night sky brings out all kinds of wildlife and if you’re lucky you may even see some bats or hear some owls. Along with a campfire and toasted marshmallows this will definitely be a night to remember.
Camping
Stay overnight at Explore for just £6 per child. We think that the leaders do such a great job volunteering their time that they are welcome to stay free of charge!
